SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Buster Posey caught just two innings in the Giants’ first seven games, and he won’t play again until at least Wednesday.
Posey’s left ankle has been bothering him, especially when hitting, according to manager Bruce Bochy. The five-time All-Star has been limited to two at-bats.
“Buster, he won’t catch until after the break,” Bochy said, referring to Tuesday’s off day. “We just want to clear it up. We don’t want this thing nagging at the end of spring training.”
Posey was held out of the Giants’ first two games with what Bochy called an ankle “tweak,” and the catcher’s only playing time came in the third game, Sunday. …continue reading here…
